Contact Lens


Contact Lens is one of the commonest eye treatment used to tackle different vision disorders. Due to the advancement in technology, contact lenses offer a wide variety of choices ranging from types, material, sizes, colors, and styles.

Modern Contact lenses are grouped into two categories namely;

  • Soft lenses (manufactured water containing plastics)
  • GP or “Oxygen permeable” rigid Contact lenses

Contact lenses can also be categorised depending on the wearing schedule and the replacement interval.
Traditional non-disposable have to be replaced after a year

One is entitled to remove, cleaning, and storing daily wear contacts each and every day.
Daily disposable contact lenses have to be discarded at night

In the case of extended wear contact lenses, they can be worn overnight and can be removed after a month.
Replacement intervals range from a week, biweekly, or monthly.
